Great shows going on this weekend - Don't want to miss shows

All, Some of my closest friends are performing this weekend. Normally I would send out an individual email blast, but there are too many shows within a 48 hour period. Show if you love great singers, songwriters and over the top musicianship, then you need to go check out these shows. Friday night October 10th at Le Poisson Rouge Martha Redbone opening for comedien/civil rights activist Dick Gregory. Martha Redbone will be performing with Aaron Whitby on keys and Robin Macatangay on guitar. This will be a very special show. Check out her incredible sound at her myspace link

Later that evening at The Blue Note for the Late Night Groove Series is Gordon Chambers celebrating his birthday performing songs from his CD as well as many of the hits he's written for other artists.

The best part is that it is Free - If you make this incredible show of All-Star Session musicians then I will buy you a drink.Do yourself a favor and get a table early and enjoy the wonderful Tex-Mex menu.Bill Sims and this core group of musicians is like Family playing in a backyard at a BBQ.You don't want to miss this show. The funk and blues will be oozing from the walls.Slow blues are some of the deepest grooves you will ever hear, shuffles like they were meant to be played and funk like you can't take it.Think I'm joking, come here it for yourself, you'll talk about it for months.
