The Absense of Cool in a Small World Tour

Two organic and musically soulful brothers of song, separated by continents at birth now unite in 2008 in Brooklyn NY. , KUKU a Washington DC based, Nigerian native who defines his sound in the form of his 'Afro-Soul Acoustic Experience' and Tomas Doncker, a native New Yorker with West Indian roots who makes 'GroovySexMusic' as his Imprint Label suggests, are a pair set to redefine what it sounds like when crafty songwriters perform their hearts and souls to a live audience. Upon meeting through an introduction by fellow singers/songwriter and http://www.soutltracks.com/ staffwriter, Tom Paul, Tomás Doncker invited KUKU to sing on the title track of 'Small World', his most recent release. After the recording session in the summer 2008, they spent the rest of day trading songs and ideas about future collaborations. The culmination is the "Absence of Cool in a Small World" tour.

KUKU and Tomas currently have a pair of nationally and internationally released albums, guitar and string endorsements and a dedicated and ever growing fan base. They've played on some of the nation's premier stages yet they are equally as comfortable performing in intimate settings. To get a sneak peak at this Global Soul Summit go to these links: http://www.kukulive.com/ andwww.myspace.com/tomasdoncker

The tour starts off on November 15th at Frank's Cocktail Lounge http://www.frankscocktaillounge.com/ monthly NU SOUL Saturday's showcase of Indie Soul Artists featuring Tomas Doncker and KUKU with a listening party for Kameron Corvet's new release "Korporate Rockstar". The evening starts at 9pm and the cover is $10. This event is sponsored by Purpose Music Group, The Bloom Effect, EDclectic Entertainment, Fusicology, 4DaSoul and ONUTSS.

Martha Redbone at Joe's Pub Wed Nov 12th 9pm $18

All,

If you have not seen Martha Redbone and her amazing band perform live, you must come out Wednesday November 12th for a special show at Joe's Pub celebrating The Public's Native Theatre Festival. To hear her great music, please go to this link http://www.myspace.com/martharedbonemusic

The voice, the music, the songwriting is beyond on point and deserves much more accolades for the push this artist has made as an Independant artist.

If there are any new Indie artists out there this show is a learning experience to see how to see a seasoned professional can carve out quite the niche as an artist independantly.
Martha Redbone gives all of us hope towards continuing our crafts as Indie Artists.

All I can tell you is if you come to see this show you will not be disappointed.

I hope to see you at the show.

Please review the email from Martha below with the show info.

Peace and One Love,

Tom

On a political note, words cannot describe my happiness knowing that BarackObama will be our next President of the United States. I am overwhelmed by thepassion and spirit of so many of us who gave money, made phone calls, rallied, etc. to help make this election a success... and it worked. When I think of howmany people have waited for this day, how many have passed on not believing thisday would ever come, I think of our guitarist Alan AB Burroughs' 103year-old grandmother who was born during Jim Crow and lived to see this day...even though there is still so much to sort out, it is so important that we areinvolved in the decisions made in our country...a change has finally come...more later...

Kindness & peace,

Martha
